Indoor carpet racing is a fun, affordable, family-friendly wintertime RC activity. Races run on the Third Saturday of each month at HobbyTown. Emitter required for the timing system. Pick one up at HobbyTown, they are returnable.
Points will be accumulated every month, with the race fee purse distributed at the end of the series among the top points winners. Race fee is an affordable $10 per racer.
Nightly schedule is:
– Track is open all day.
– Official practice starts at 6:00pm with the timing system set up and running. GET AN EMITTER from Hobbytown.
– Vaccuum the track.
– Heat 1 at 6:30pm
– Heat 2 at 6:45pm, and so on until the Main Event
Here’s the Points System:
1st in a Monthly Main = 10 points
2nd in a Monthly Main = 9 points
3rd in a Monthly Main = 8 points
4th in a Monthly Main = 7 points
….with the point awards being one point less for every lower place.
Drivers will be allowed to drop their lowest race finish from their season totals.
We have a timing system. Come with your car ready to accept an IR transmitter. It uses a servo port on your receiver.
The intended class for this series is 1/18th scale open.
Open play – test + tune is the Saturday prior to a monthly series race, or any time the Rec Room is open.
