HobbyTown and the San Luis Valley Model RR club are teaming up to show you and your family how easy it is to build a nice simple easy to handle home model railroad. We will build a working model railroad and SOMEBODY will get to take it home with them!
There are five slots only in this activity. We will:
– Select a board. Paint it or cover it in preparation for the track.
– Learn about different types of model train track.
– Build track including a siding and ballast.
– Connect a power pack and run the train!
– Learn how model train cars and engines work.
– Install a building and put lights in it so it can light up.
– Learn how to do basic wiring.
– Learn how to do basic scenery.
– Plaster, glue, paint, and have a messy good time!
Everybody takes home a gift from HobbyTown.
At the end of the series, we will hold a drawing and give the layout away to one of the participants!
Price is $50 for six sessions ($10 per night).
Includes two months’ membership in the San Luis Valley Model RR Club.
